Amanda Donis practices body healing massage in NYC as a Registered Nurse and Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) with Pre-natal Massage Certification. Her NYC-based therapeutic massage practice offers body healing techniques for injury, stress, and women’s health including pre-natal massage and post-partum massage care. She is a body therapy specialist practicing precise massage and myofascial release techniques for stress, injury, and women’s health conditions to help free patients from physical limitations, heal pain, and restore balance.
Her primary approach to promote full body healing is myofascial release with a combination of precise massage and tissue techniques to treat a range of conditions. Her therapeutic massage methods are effective for repetitive stress for the office worker, women’s health issues, and refining or sustaining athletic performance. Over the past 11 years, Amanda has worked in conjunction with physical therapists, orthopedic doctors, jaw pain specialists, dentists, acupuncturists, and chiropractors to offer integrative treatments for a wide range of soft tissue and wellness-related issues. She has helped organize corporate wellness programs and has traveled with her massage chair throughout the world to offer body healing massage for people with little access to therapeutic massage.
Women’s Health is Her Passion
Amanda trained in myofascial release for pelvic and hip areas to treat a range of women’s issues including menopause, fertility, endometriosis, incontinence, and more. Her continuous training with John F.Barnes, myofascial release pioneer, and her medical massage experience help her effectively address lymphatic issues, fibromyalgia and muscle-joint related conditions, scar tissue and surgery recovery. Her wellness-related body healing massage blog focuses on helpful, usable, and interesting ideas for body healing massage and other topics for women’s health, managing stress, and sustainable wellness.
She approaches her clients’ healing and wellness from a holistic perspective. To ensure a thorough perspective, she uses a comprehensive patient intake form to capture medical and lifestyle factors and conducts a visual assessment of standing posture and movement patterns.
